Doogee X95 Review

The Doogee X95 came well wrapped for it's journey from Singapore to Canada. It was ordered via AliExpress.  Unboxing It came in a nice white box with the picture of the device on front.  upon opening the box had the phone on top. Which is the norm for smartphone boxes.  It's a solid 6.5 inch display which felt good in the hands. Don't know if it was just my device but the case that was provided felt very cheap. It has a ridge on the sides which feel annoying at first.  It came with a European charger, micro USB cable, sim eject tool and a pre installed screen protector. The back of the phone looks beautiful in it's emerald green colour. The back is made of plastic but has a glass like texture. Doesn't feel cheap at all. Once the back protector is taken off you get a phone with a really beautiful shine.  Conclusion I planned on doing testing for a week and then features a full review.

What's Important?

When looking for a phone what's important to you? There are two ways we can look at it. The best on the market but comes at a premium price, or affordable but decent specs.  Ok I can say not all affordable phones are decent but I will help you out. First let's start with best on the market. You may look for best on market because you want camera that takes amazing pictures. A battery that can last more then a day. A glass back that feels premium. Wireless charging that feature fast charge. Fast wired charging to get you quick charge in short amount of time.  The list goes on and on. For me yes those are important but not worth the cost. Many people go iphone or Galaxy for flagships because it's a popular brand. Though for those you will pay a premium price.  Yet there is also the market where you can get almost all that a premium phone has. Enter the mid range market. You can get a amazing camera. A huge battery that some flagships don't even have. Wireless charging wit

Heads Up!

If you have ordered from AliExpress or any other chinese website, don't panic if it's taking long to get to you. Chinese companies have a long history of taking long to get orders to people no matter where in the world.  I ordered my Doogee X95 at the end of May. It went from China to Singapore and left Singapore July 21st for it's final destination of Canada. Not sure if it came right here or stoped in between. Fast forward to August 27th, it landed in Canada and was placed under review by Canada Post. September 1st it clears customs and lucky me no duty fees.  If your panicking about a package taking long, don't worry. Chinese logistics companies are just slow. I had found this out as it was my first AliExpress order. I had contacted their customer support a few times to see why it's taking long. Yes I know I ordered during the Covid-19 pandemic but it still took long.  This is a rare case. Seller in AliExpress answered only 2 questions. When I tried to get answer

AmazonBasics One Port 2.4 Amp Charger

Looking for a charger that is affordable and offers quick charge? While it's not the fastest on the market, the AmazonBasics single port 2.4 amp charger is the way to go.  If you have an iPhone this is a welcome upgrade from the stock charge Apple provides. For Androids who support 10w quick charge this is perfect. There is a blue light that lets you know there is power going into the charger.  At $10.23CAD and free shipping this is a deal. I have never used AmazonBasics before and this is something I will always recommend. Check it out on Amazon if you need a inexpensive charge that will give you all the charging power needed.  https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B0773BHCV1/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1&th=1
